* Motivation. We all need it. We need it to stay the course. I’ve always had issues with keeping my motivation up. Today, I was able to buy some clothes 4 sizes smaller than the last set I bought. I started in February,Size 7XL, today 5 months later 3XL. It helps me to keep pushing. I hope it helps you too. I’m here to help anyone who asks 😃

Alright, time for my story. My name is Jason and today I hit a milestone. In February this year I was 143.7 kg, unhappy with myself and in pain. My mum Janet Bowers help me start on the slim living program. 15 weeks in and now I’m 30kg lighter. I’ve not been this size for 12 years. Haven’t finished yet but with the help of Natalie English and my supportive family I will get there.

* I had a good mate ask me when he saw me if I was ok? I looked at him and said on top of the world and he says you have lost a shit load of weight. I said yes I have been meaning to as I'm not crook at all. His wife was blown away with my weight I have dropped. I simply say I will be around a lot longer not carrying all that round with me. Next year is looking great health wise. Looking at different employment opportunities for the future. I have always wanted to drive the haul trucks on the mines.

Ross Murgatroyd was 136 kgs when he started the Slimliving program and he is now 104 kgs. His job has not always made it easy for him to stick to the program but he did and I am so proud of him

* Had a chance conversation with a good friend of mine whilst visiting and that has changed my life. We spoke at length about the program and she told me that she had an awesome mentor (Nat English). I was not quite convinced, so I did a more research when I got home. I really understood and liked what I was discovering so then decided to take the plunge to begin Slim Living. Awesome decision!!

Being a Yo-Yo/quick fix dieter all my life, I needed a change of life style. I have a two year old grandson that I want to be able to keep up with and I have children that will be heading down the marriage path and it’s the photos that are my biggest concern, I don’t want to be hiding in them so that was my motivation. Along with being at a depressing weight ever of 120kg.

After a week on the program I could feel the difference, it wasn’t just the scales it was actually the way if felt in myself. Gut health had improved, sleeping was fantastic, energy levels were good, cravings were minimal. I was actually enjoying a “diet” for the first time ever. Meal prep is also a breeze.

My pics are the day I started Slim Living was end of June at 118.5kg and then 8 weeks later at 96.8kg. My last pics are 3 weeks post op for me however I am still following Slim Living the best I can at the moment and my surgeon has agreed to this as well. The lifestyle change has been incredible and I don’t regret the decision to join Slime Living family the only thing I regret is the time it took to do this.

It is great to get family and friends comments now instead of just looks. Best of all it is great to have Nat as my mentor she is always touching base with me, making the positives stand out. I love the feeling of confidence I now have with ME.

* Over the last seven years I have just kept creeping up and up on the scales. I tried “dieting” quite a few times but never really got any further than a couple of days into it before I crumpled. In April this year (2019) my mum heard about slim living and wanted to join. She asked if I would join with her but there was no way I was going to pay anymore money on an unsuccessful diet. After my mum had been on it for two weeks I was blown away by her results and thought maybe I should give this a go. I joined up and started officially on the 1st of May. The calorie intake was so much lower than I’d been eating and I was concerned whether I could stick to it but I was surprised how easy I found it. I was determined to get the results. Seeing the weight drop off on the scales everyday really helped and the days that I only had a low weight loss I usually would measure myself or get my boys to take a photo of me for extra motivation. I was so strict the first month. I never went off the program. If we had to go to a friends bbq I’d take my own food. But it paid off, I lost 9.8kgs in the first month. As the months have gone on I have been a little less strict. I try to eat from the transformation plan but if we have something on I let loose a little, knowing that as soon as I’m home I’m back into it. We are now into mid October and I’m now down 26kgs. I’d like to lose another 10kgs eventually, but I’m happy for it to come off slowly now. I want this to be a forever thing and I’m trying to fit it as comfortably into my lifestyle as possible. Since starting with slim living my life has changed so much. Not only am I 26kgs lighter, I’m a lot happier, and I am so much fitter. Before slim living I was finding going for a walk hard work, it actually hurt my legs walking for exercise. Now I’m running 5km parkrun every Saturday (and actually running the whole way, something I’ve never been able to do before), plus I did an off track triathlon for the first time in September which was a 400m ocean swim 12.5km mountain bike and 6km run (both hilly and sandy). I exercise most days now and actually enjoy running. I have so much more energy being on Slim living. My body certainly thanks me.

* Will start with a big thanks to Natalie English ,with keeping me motivated and giving me advice on this journey, started with having my 40th and seeing pics of myself, snoring more than usual keeping the wife up, having cancer and health issues that run in the family, and most importantly having 3 young kids that I want to enjoy time with. Had been on the fence like most for 6-8 mths and finally took the plunge 25/6/18 and started at 105kg photo at start was 2wks after starting and already 5kg down, achieved my first goal of 90kg then pushed myself to get between 85-90 and achieved that so wanted the 85kg mark and have achieved that, have not been fully strict with the food plan but have kept up portion eating and doing shift work, couple of days off the wagon with bdays in past months but made amends, more energy, not as short with family, sleeping better as well as being much happier! Hope others that see photos will take the leap as well and do the journey for yourself.

* Here is my story and pictures. I have always battled with my weight, been on may different diets, but just did not seem to stick at it.  In 2002 my husband myself and 2 kids moved to Adelaide from South Africa, I left a good job, friends, and had no friends or family in Adelaide.  I am very shy, and I do not drink so find it hard to join in.  I have also been indecently asaulted as a teenager in Zimbabwe, which made me even more withdrawn. After moving to Adelaide food became my friend and the weight piled on, my husband and I seperated due to my weight gain. I did meet someone else who a few years into the marriage was diagnosed with cancer and we are currently waiting on confirmation of MS. Daily its a battle as I am the only one working.  My mum is also not well in the Uk, and I know I will never see her again as money is tight on one wage.  In Feburary this year I saw Natalie,s Slimliving facebook page, read all the reviews, and thought what have I got to lose.  I have lost 41kg todate, I feel a million times better,  I walk more, I have  even run to get the bus.,a whole 2 city blocks. Knowing there is nothing but support from the slim living team is amazing and we are all on the same journey. This works.

* I am a mum of 4 kids. I have a 12 year old girl and triplet boys who are 10. I decided to do this program as I was recommended by  my sister and my mentor Emma. At first I was very nervous and was not sure if this is for me. Than I thought about our expenses and was really not sure. I always had put my family first but this year I decided to put me first. You need to also be happy with your self to keep others happy. Once started on the program weight started falling off. It was hard but I was doing it for me and my family. I am so much more confident now. I can wear clothes that I feel comfortable in. It has taught me about portion control and what is a healthier option to eat. I do 80/20 now. I have a little more to go. But really enjoying life after losing 20kg.

* I was the biggest sceptic. I thought this was just another one of my wife’s crazy ways of trying to lose weight. But then I saw her results and not only her weight loss but how much energy she had. I decided to give it a go. I am now the lightest I’ve been in over 30 years and no longer so tired!!
